Construction Update for Nazareth YMCA

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are excited to share that on Monday, May 4 construction will begin to renovate the Nazareth branch. Please note that during this time, the front portion of the parking lot will be used for construction staging, as indicated in the yellow framed area below. Vehicles will need to enter and exit the parking lots via S. Spruce Street. There will be a pedestrian walkway from Main Street. 

Parking is available in both yellow highlighted parking lots in the photo below, which may be entered off S. Spruce St.

Our hope is that the aquatics and fitness centers will remain open and accessible during branch construction, which we anticipate will take 12-18 months to complete. However, as is sometimes the case with branch renovations, circumstances may require the temporary closure of spaces in use. If and when that time arises, the Y will communicate notice as timely as possible. Please make sure you are signed up to receive facility-related texts by completing this form.

Upon completion of the project, the Nazareth community will have a contemporary YMCA featuring:

• Modernized architecture that celebrates our historic legacy in Nazareth, which goes back over 100 years
• NEW expanded wellness center and program spaces featuring state-of-the-art fitness equipment
• NEW dedicated community room to share with partner organizations for meetings and events
• NEW child care classrooms, school age child care, and brand new Stay & Play
• Newly refurbished gymnasium and refreshed aquatics center
• Three new studios, as well as intentionally designed quiet spaces to support mental wellness, meditation and mindfulness
• Community gathering areas to relax, connect and collaborate
