Doylestown YMCA’s Zero Gravity Jumper Sets National Record
Meet Zach Peckman, a dedicated member of the Doylestown YMCA’s Zero Gravity Jump Rope Team and the U.S. national record holder for 3-minute Speed Jump Rope. Zach’s jump rope journey began in kindergarten at New Hope-Solebury Elementary’s Jump Rope for Heart club, where an early school assembly featuring an advanced performance team inspired him to set big goals.
That spark of inspiration turned into daily dedication. Over the years, Zach has trained relentlessly, practicing both with the Zero Gravity team and on his own. His hard work has paid off in a big way—earning national titles, breaking records, and now preparing to represent the United States at the International Jump Rope Competition in Japan.
Zach’s achievements go beyond medals. He values the friendships and encouragement found in the jump rope community, where athletes cheer for one another both in person and online. “Everyone is encouraging,” he says. “It’s such a great community.”
The Doylestown YMCA is proud to support Zach and the entire Zero Gravity team, providing a welcoming space for training, clinics, and growth. His story is a powerful reminder that with perseverance, passion, and community, anything is possible.
