River Crossing YMCA unveiled the newly updated wellness center on Friday Mar. 26 at the Bethlehem branch located at 430 East Broad St. The center had been closed for renovation and equipment installation Mar. 24-25.

The newly refreshed Bethlehem Y wellness center includes all new high-end (TRUE and PRECOR) cardio training equipment, upgraded free weights and brighter interiors. The new cardio equipment includes brand new treadmills, bikes (recumbent and seated), elliptical machines (standing and seated) and stair climbers. The new wellness center was bustling with members excited to work out on the all new equipment.

“We love the new bikes! They’re so much smoother,” shared Bethlehem resident Bill Ring who, with his wife, visits the YMCA every day.

“I love it! I think the place looks great!” said Matthew Vipond as he curled new dumbbells in the newly refreshed weight room at River Crossing YMCA’s Bethlehem branch.

“I love it! I think the place looks great!” said Matthew Vipond as he curled new dumbbells in the separate weight room. “I work out here and at the Easton Y, and really love the upgrades.” Vipond referred to the newly renovated wellness center at the Easton branch, which opened in March.

River Crossing YMCA announced that anyone may “Try the Y” for free in Bethlehem April 6-10. New members who sign up during the month of April will “Pay the Day” in join fee, meaning whatever the date is, that is their join fee. April 1 joiners pay $1 join fee, April 10 joiners pay $10 join fee, etc.

“I’m very excited to invite everyone in to check out the refreshed areas and try the brand new equipment,” said Tiffany Henning, branch executive for River Crossing YMCA in Bethlehem. “We have an incredible community in Bethlehem, and seeing the smiles on our members’ faces when they work out on the new gear is truly inspiring.”
