Parents are encouraged to bring their children—we’ll have a fun activity for them in the classroom. Discover why families love our early learning programs! Tour our classrooms, meet our caring teachers, and learn how the Y’s preschool program helps children grow through play-based learning, creativity, and community. Families can explore curriculum options, see our facilities, and ask questions about enrollment for the upcoming school year. Pre-registration is not required.

About our program

Our Pen Argyl-based child care center provides safe, supportive care for children ages 3–12.

Preschool Child Care (Ages 3-5)
Our program helps children build early reading, math and social skills to prepare for kindergarten and future school success.  Studies show preschool supports long-term outcomes, including high school graduation and college attendance.

• Dedicated and professional teaching team
• DHS licensed
• Conveniently open from 6 AM-6 PM

School Age Before and After School Care (Ages 5-12)
Our focus is safety, health, social development and academic support. Kids explore new interests, build confidence and form lasting friendships.
• STEAM skills to build upon their knowledge
• Financial assistance available to qualifying families
• Transportation available to/from Pen Argyl Area School District
• Passionate staff provide homework support
• Themed lesson plans encourage creativity and healthy lifestyles
• Before Care: 6 AM to School Start, After Care: School End to 6 PM

YMCA financial assistance available.
ELRC funding accepted.
