Meet Lori, a longtime member of the Slate Belt YMCA who finds joy and connection through the variety of programs offered. She especially loves the yoga classes available five days a week, which provide a great way to start the day feeling refreshed and energized.
Lori also enjoys playing pickleball and participating in many other exercise classes. One of her favorite highlights is the Senior Community Hub program, where she not only appreciates the engaging activities and guest speakers but also the opportunity to share delicious meals prepared by Lauren. From hands-on projects like painting to sharing stories over Italian food, these gatherings create a warm and welcoming environment.
For Lori, the true value of the program lies in building community—getting to know fellow members, sharing family stories, and enjoying time together in a relaxed setting. She describes her experience as “phenomenal,” a testament to the sense of belonging fostered at the YMCA.
