Women's Self-Defense Class
Join us for a one evening Women’s Self-Defense Class presented by River Crossing YMCA at the Deer Path Branch. This free class is designed to help participants build confidence, awareness and practical skills to improve personal safety. Registration is required so we can properly prepare for all attendees. This class is open to participants ages 16 and up.
During this hands-on session, you will learn easy to remember self-defense techniques focused on real life situations. Topics include situational awareness, where and how to strike, breaking free from common holds and defending yourself while standing, sitting or on the ground. The goal is to provide practical tools that can increase your chances of staying safe.
The class will be taught by Martial Arts Instructor Jack Atwell, 9th Degree Black Belt, along with seven women Black Belt instructors from the YMCA Karate Program.
