We invite you to leave a lasting legacy with a planned gift to River Crossing YMCA. Explore ways to support future generations of your community through bequests, beneficiary designations, and other giving options that align with your values.
Heritage Club
The Heritage Club honors individuals and families who have made a legacy gift or contributed to the River Crossing YMCA Endowment Fund. These lasting commitments provide essential resources to sustain our mission and ensure that Y programs and services remain strong for future generations. Heritage Club members help preserve the Y’s core values and create a lasting impact in the community.
Bequest
Anyone can be a philanthropist with a planned gift to River Crossing YMCA. These meaningful gifts can cost nothing today but create lasting community impact.
- Include River Crossing YMCA in your will or trust.
- Name the YMCA as a full, partial, or percentage beneficiary of your retirement plan.
- Donate a life insurance policy no longer needed or name the YMCA as a beneficiary.
Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Honor a loved one with a memorial or tribute gift to River Crossing YMCA—a meaningful way to celebrate someone special while supporting your community.
Charitable Gift Annuities
Support the Y’s future, boost your retirement income, and receive a tax deduction with a simple gift annuity. Here’s how it works:
- Make an irrevocable gift to the Y using cash or securities
- Receive fixed lifetime payments for you and/or another person
- Claim a federal income tax deduction
Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows you to donate directly from your IRA to River Crossing YMCA if you are age 70 ½ or older. A QCD is excluded from your taxable income and therefore can be more advantageous.
- Your IRA Custodian must distribute the funds directly to River Crossing YMCA.
- QCDs are tax-free and count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year.
- The amount you can donate varies by tax year and is up to $111,000 per person in 2026.

Why the Y?
TIMELESS. Help to lay deep roots to sustain generations of growth. The Y is a stable, values-based and professionally managed organization that is in-touch with the needs of our community and capable of meeting the changing conditions in order to lead our community into the future. Hertitage Club members fill a special need for the Y by providing long-term resources that will benefit our Y's programs in perpetuity. As we look ahead, our Y is preparing for the future by building a permanent, growing endowment through planned giving bequests and other gifts by Heritage Club members.
AGELESS. Invest in your neighbors of all ages so that we might become an even stronger community. Your gifts to River Crossing YMCA help to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, finances, ability or circumstances can access the support they need to live healthy, thriving lives. From the 7th grade initiative to the THRIVE cancer wellness program, the Y is meeting needs across generations.
PRICELESS. Heritage Club membership is the most significant commitment that you can make to our long term mission. It provides the catalyst and resources to ensure the sustainability of our Y and its support to this community. Bequests and other gifts to the endowment by Heritage Club members help to promote the Y's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility for self and others, along with healthy living, for future generations of children, youth, and adults.
At the Y, strengthening community is our cause--it was in 1965, is now and it will still be in 2050!
